"Modern comforts, old world charm"
Welcome to
THE ROGERS HARRISON HOUSE CIRCA 1817
in Niagara-on-the-Lake Ontario Canada

General Description

The historic Rogers-Harrison House circa 1817 is located right in the middle of old town only steps from the lake, renowned Shaw Festival theatres, quaint shops, North America's oldest golf course, some of the finest dining in the country and many other unique attractions of breathtaking Niagara on the Lake. Our authentic Georgian home has been lovingly restored to its original character preserving the natural wood burning fireplaces in the principal rooms and guest rooms. Added are the modern conveniences of private ensuite bathrooms with whirlpool tubs and central air conditioning. You are invited to relax in the parlour/music room and partake of our wonderful breakfasts carefully prepared according to your dietary needs on the patio and when weather doesn't permit, in our fine period dining room. We would be very happy to provide you with a retreat from the modern world enabling you to make your own special memories in our home.

Breakfast

Our breakfasts are a treat to all the senses whether served in our period dining room by the fireplace or out on the garden patio. Breakfast entrees vary from simple eggs benedict to crepes filled with Brie cheese and asparagus. We always use the freshest and most locally grown foods in our preparation. It is our pleasure to cater to special dietary restrictions so please let us know if you have any special requests.

Local Attractions

Lake Ontario is only two short blocks away. The town is on the mouth of the Niagara River only twenty minutes from Niagara Falls and surrounded by the fruits of Niagara vineyards. Several wineries also offer great food paired to their wine specialities. It is all yours to enjoy only a few minutes away. Stroll through the old town on foot or be picked up by horse-drawn carriage and taken on a great guided tour by one of the expert drivers from Sentineal Carriages. For the golf enthusiasts you can choose from one of the numerous championship courses or just walk to the end of the street and play the historic Niagara on the Lake golf course. The Shaw Festival theatres showcasing the works of George Bernard Shaw and his contemporaries are only a few steps away.
