Located at The Cove , in Upper Economy, Colchester Country, Nova Scotia, Four Seasons retreat is made up of 12 fully equipped one, two, three and four bedroom cottages, each surrounded on three sides by birch, fir and spruce woods, with the Cobequid Bay in full view in the front yard. Each of our cottages contains a fully equipped kitchen. There is an airtight wood stove in the livingroom, but the cottages are electrically heated for those chilly mornings. Four Seasons Retreat is open year round, offering a wide variety of activities in Spring, Summer, Atumn and Winter.The Spring brings fresh and salt water fishing for such species as salmon, trout and stripped bass, or stripper , Summer is the best time of year for beach combing, clam digging, or just relaxing by the pool. In the Autumn, Mother Nature splashes our shore with rich hues of red and gold. Come and hike the many colourful trails nearby. During the Winter, we have trails nearby for cross country or you can spend the whole day at Ski Wentworth, Nova Scotia's best downhill ski slopes, only 30 minutes from the Retreat. Economy Falls, 7.5km(4.5mi) along the River Philip Rd, then a 1km(0.5mi) hike along an old woods road to stairs into a deep gorge where a natural geological phenomenon has ocurred in the collapse of a 20m (65ft) waterfall.

Five Islands Provincial Park, (9km) half way down the other side of Economy Mountain. Picnic area, beach access, geological 'timeline', hiking trails, tenting/trailerRV camping.

Five Islands Beach, Take Wharf Rd by Diane's Restaurant. You will pass the Clam Factory and floating wharf where a small lobster fleet ties up. see the boats away down on the riverbed at low tide. When the tide comes in, the wharf and boats come up, according to the height of the tide, close to the top of the posts. note the view of the Provincial Park and islands.
