James Martin Band

Saxophonist James Martin’s distinctive sound has been a staple in the New Orleans music scene. James encapsulates the funky yet syncopated pulse of New Orleans music. He can seamlessly transition between jazz, funk, mainstream music, blues, making it difficult to place him
in just one genre.

James Martin’s pride for New Orleans cannot be described with words, only through his music. Louis Armstrong, Ernie K Doe, and Fats Domino are some of the musical influences that paved his musical journey.
During his studies at NOCCA and Loyola New Orleans College of Music, James cut his chops performing clubs and second lines in New Orleans. He traversed New Orleans vibrant musical landscape, playing with icons
such as Dr. John, Lenny Kravitz and Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, as well as his musical hero,
Allen Toussaint.

Through his appearance on ESPN Monday Night Football and concert at The Apollo Theater, James has brought the sound of New Orleans to the rest of America, and around the world while performing at the US Ambassador’s Fourth of July Party in Paris and at the Martinique Jazz Festival.

Glen David Andrews

Andrews was born in the historic Tremé neighborhood, which many consider to be the oldest black community in the United States. Transfixed by the magic and mystery of the city's second-line parades, Andrews and his older brother, Derrick Tabb of the Rebirth Brass Band, along with their younger cousin Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, soaked up life's musical lessons by learning the history of the brass band tradition from iconic figures like Tuba Fats. Andrews says. “Jesus was born in a manger,” Andrews says. “I was born in a second line.”

Andrew's showmanship has long endeared him to audiences on New Orleans' fabled Frenchman Street. He's also made a profound impression at the world's biggest block party – the annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. “Glen is one of the giant talents of New Orleans music,” says fest producer Quint Davis.

The Brass-A-Holics

Since 2010, the Brass-A-Holics have been taking their unique sound around the world. Steeped in the deep musical culture of New Orleans, the band brings a heavy dose of go-go funk to the New Orleans brass sound.
In a blending of musical cultures stemming from cities separated by more than a thousand miles, a Brass-a-Holics live show takes the New Orleans brass band culture and infuses it with the electricity of Washington D.C.'s go-go. The resulting sound is both captivating and unique. The band consists of core New Orleans brass elements- trumpet, trombone, saxophone- and adds a full drum set, percussion, keyboard, bass and electric guitar, giving the band limitless options to explore new sonic territory.
Whether performing their original music or using the framework of hit pop songs as springboards for fiery improvisations, there is something in the set to appeal to every music fan. Once the music starts, the demographics blend and a brand new experience is created- one that leaves one-of-a-kind memories that live on long after the last note.
