The Nayo Jones Experience

Nayo Jones debuted at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in 2012 where she has appeared annually since then. Ms. Jones has opened for such greats as Chris Botti, Otis & the Temptations, The Whispers & Lakeside. In addition to her own show, Ms. Jones currently tours alongside New Orleans’ iconic jazz trumpeter, Kermit Ruffins. Though still a babe in the music industry she already has the savvy of some of the most classic female artists and has proven to be a force to be reckoned with.
Ms. Jones has an extraordinary ability to capture her audience and keep them in a trance every time she hits the stage. Nayo Jones continues to cherish those classic tunes she heard growing up and is committed to bringing back the “authenticity of music” each time she performs. Her fans have compared her to the likes of Natalie Cole, Roberta Flack and even Billie Holiday as she belts out tunes from jazz standards to adult R&B.

Nayo Jones is featured on the latest album release by Kermit Ruffins, #imsoneworleans. Her body of work also includes her first original album “My Name is Nayo Jones”, a “Holiday Collection” and her EP simply titled “Nayo”. Jones is currently in the studio working on her first Jazz album.

New Orleans Wildlife Band Ft. Ricardo Pascal

Ricardo `Choo Choo` Pascal was born in England but raised in Florida. A young and ambitious tenor saxophone player who studied and graduated from Florida State and UNO, has played alongside Marcus Roberts, Rodney Jordan, Jason Marsalis, Marcus Printup, Irvin Mayfield, Wess Anderson, and Stephen Riley. Pascal has also produced and toured with The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Pat Casey's tribute to Jaco Pastorius, and the Catskill Jazz Factory.

Glen David Andrews

Andrews was born in the historic Tremé neighborhood, which many consider to be the oldest black community in the United States. Transfixed by the magic and mystery of the city's second-line parades, Andrews and his older brother, Derrick Tabb of the Rebirth Brass Band, along with their younger cousin Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, soaked up life's musical lessons by learning the history of the brass band tradition from iconic figures like Tuba Fats. Andrews says. “Jesus was born in a manger,” Andrews says. “I was born in a second line.”

Andrew's showmanship has long endeared him to audiences on New Orleans' fabled Frenchman Street. He's also made a profound impression at the world's biggest block party – the annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. “Glen is one of the giant talents of New Orleans music,” says fest producer Quint Davis.

The James Rivers Movement

New Orleans holds James Rivers in a special place in its heart. The multi-instrumentalist and composer grew up in New Orleans’ Sixth Ward and has performed regularly in the city for decades. He is known for his work as a session musician starting in the 1950s, helping Sam Cooke pen the finishing touches on “You Send Me,” and writing music for six Clint Eastwood films.

Michael Watson & The Alchemy

Hailing from Canton, OH, Michael Watson was born into a family of musicians and began playing trombone at a young age. He has since pursued his career as a musician wholeheartedly throughout high school and college, enjoying many accolades as a superior performer. After his active duty in the Marines brought him to New Orleans post-Katrina, his career has exploded. Watson resume includes four All-State Jazz Bands, the Grammy Jazz Ensemble, which included top high school students in the world at the 2003 Grammy Awards Party as well as the Tri-C All Star Jazz Band at the Tri-C Jazz Festival.

Germaine Bazzle

A true treasure and legend of New Orleans jazz, she is the city’s most admired scat singer. Musicians and fans alike are inspired by her improvisation. Every Sunday, New Orleans taste-makers find their retreat at the Playhouse, and admire the music made by the great Germaine Bazzle.

Shannon Powell

Shannon Powell is a highly sought after drummer and percussionist who has achieved international acclaim for his commanding technique and style, rooted in the characteristic funky drum beats of New Orleans.
From 1987 to 1992, Powell toured extensively with Harry Connick, Jr. and released two platinum albums with Connick including, `We Are in Love,` and `Blue Light Red Light.” He also recorded `Lofty's Roach Souffle` with Connick. During subsequent years, Powell has toured with Wynton Marsalis and Jazz at Lincoln Center, Marcus Roberts, Diana Krall, Dr. John, Earl King, and many many more.
Currently, he is a bandleader and has recorded his own CD, `Powell's Place,` which showcases a mix of traditional and original jazz songs and also features Powell on vocals. Powell is considered a leading force on the traditional jazz circuit and also serves as an educator and clinician. He has been featured at workshops presented at universities and jazz festivals all over the world.
Considered a living legend in New Orleans music, Shannon Powell is heralded as `The King of Treme,` the neighborhood where he grew up in New Orleans, which has given birth to countless musical inspirations and innovations.

K.C. & The Irresistibles

At the corner of soul and swing, you get K.C. & The Irresistibles.
Founded in 2017 by trumpeter and vocalist K.C. O'Rorke, the Irresistibles harken back to New Orleans' golden years where music shook you like a martini and kept you satisfied all night long.
Joining K.C. are some of his illustrious band mates from Flow Tribe, most notably Mario Palmisano (guitar) and Chad Penot (bass). Rounding out the rhythm is Scott Sibley on drums and Drew Meez on the keys. The Irresistibles mix their own originals with covers that dip into the worlds of funk, soul, and swing.
